April Fool! As you know Easter was on April 1st. So I got a very nervous, because the Easter Bunny might not have come.☹️☹️ Luckily he did!
I was starting to think that the Easter Bunny didn't come when... "Aanya, come look what I found" My dad had found the first clue. The Easter Bunny hid clues in our home to find the prizes. We followed the clues and we wounded up in our garage. There were the prizes! I got so excited and dropped two boxes!
(50% they were heavy and 50% I was so happy)
There were 4 prizes, one each for my mom, dad, sister and me. In my prize box I got chocolate coins, chocolate eggs, tic-tacs, Nutella with breadsticks, a new loofah and two packs of ramen noodles.😋
When we all finished showing each other our prizes we had breakfast. My mom made some egg casserole and sausages. It was really yummy!❤️ Once my sister and I had finished breakfast we went upstairs and watched a movie called The Road To El Dorado.🎥 I thought the funniest part was when the character Miguel cut some vines to go onto the path but... there was a giant rock instead. While we were watching we had some of our chocolates.
The movie had almost finished when I wanted to watch something else. I wanted to stop watching the movie because I already knew the ending, so it wasn't very exciting. My sister turned off the TV and we watched separate shows. I watched a show on Netflix called Lost And Found Music Studios.
Lost And Found is about some teenagers who learn and record songs. I am currently on the last episode. I strongly suggest that you watch it next time you are on your iPad, phone, TV or any electronic device that has Netflix.

Peter Rabbit...The Movie
Hi! Today's post topic is pretty obvious, isn't it? Well, just in case you haven't figured it out yet, I am going to be talking about the movie, Peter Rabbit. I watched the movie with some of my friends from Girl Guides. It was a very funny film, even though there were some sad parts in it.

Well, now that that's taken care of, I can talk about the main storyline of the film. Peter and his family used to live in a burrow where it was easy to get food nearby, but then Mr. McGregor bought the land, built a house and garden, where lots of beautiful vegetables grew, and then closed it off with a gate! As the food around them got over, Peter's family were hungry but they could not get anything from the garden which was full of things for them to eat. 😱
Well, now that that's taken care of, I can talk about the main storyline of the film. Peter's dad always told the children to not go into the garden but would always go in himself to get food for his family. One day, Mr. McGregor caught Peter's dad and cooked him into a rabbit pie! Peter was the oldest and inherited his father's blue jacket. This was one of the parts where I felt sad.
When their mother died, Peter became the head of the family, and he would usually do crazy things with his cousin Benjamin. All of the plans involved sneaking into the garden and stealing vegetables. Peter would also use his sisters to be lookouts for him while he got the food. Mr. McGregor was always trying to catch Peter and eat another rabbit pie, but luckily his neighbour, Bea, was a very kind-hearted woman who loved the Rabbit family. She always protected Peter and his siblings. It wasn't very long into the movie when horrible Mr. McGregor died.

At the theatre today, I also saw trailers for some very cool movies that are going to come out...Sherlock Gnomes, The Grinch, Hotel Transylvania 3, and The Incredibles 2. I can't wait to watch all of them.

Game On!
Hello! I am back for another post. This post is going to be about online games! You might have found that out by the name of today's post. In this post I will be talking about some websites that I love to play games on. There are 4 websites that I am going to talk about.
The first website is named Flipline Studios. This website only has Papa Louie Arcade games. The game that I am currently playing is named Papa Louie's Pastaria. A funny thing that I have noticed is that all of the Papa's games end in "ia"! 🤣 Pretty funny right? Now I think that it is time for me to give you a description of the game.
Customers come to the store and order a pasta dish. You then cook the pasta and make some brad on the side. You need to make sure that you add all of the toppings that they want. After you have made the dish you will be judged by the customer. That is really all there is to the game! So, on to next website!
The second website that I like playing games on is named Best Games.Com. The games they have on the website are pretty spectacular! The game that I play the most is called Piano Tiles! You guys might have already heard of this game but I will explain it anyway. Basically you need to tap the black tiles to play a song, the speed increases while you play.
If you hit the white tiles you lose the game, it is also a never-ending game! The highest score that I have gotten Is 108 points. I am not that good at this game.😐 This brings us to website number 3.
Website 3 is named Kizi.Com! There are a lot of different genres of games on Kizi. The game that I love to play on kizi is called Motor X3M! This game made me zone out! The game is a obstacle course that you go through while on a Motorcycle. The controls for this game are all of the arrows.

Mom, It's So Itchy!
Hi! Today's blog post is going to be about my competitive dance dress rehearsal. 🎵 A dress rehearsal is basically a run through of the whole dance, with costume and make up. This was my dance order schedule for rehearsal:

You can probably tell that I was really tired after all that dancing! 💃=😑 (I made a emoji story!) Anyway back to the blog... Think is the tap solo that I talked about in my post titled Freedom(x3).

So now that you have your answer, it's time to tell you about the thing that is so itchy... The Costumes!
For Tap, we have a black and white penguin bodysuit with a bow tie, and black tights.

For Jazz, we have a green sparkly dress that has a necklace sewn onto it, and we also have beige tights.
For Hip Hop, we have brown baggy pants, a golden and white crop top, a blue sequined bomber jacket, a hat, and a collar.
For Ballet, we have an old-fashioned swimsuit and a swimming cap! It is so cute.
For Musical Theatre, we have a long white tank-top and a baggy black pair of overalls.
Finally, my favourite costume! For my solo, I have a sparkly top with black pants, fingerless gloves and a blue vest! It also has a matching scrunchie.
With all these sparkly costumes, you can imagine how itchy the sequins are! In my solo, there is one move where I spin my head around, and my high ponytail braid spun around too, and looked so cool! Now that dress rehearsal is over, I am so excited to perform these dances in front of the judges with the rest of my team. We have all been working very hard for quite a while now.

Dance Competitions Are Hard to Practice For (Groan!)
Helloooo! I am so excited for April and May. Can you guess why? Here, I'll give you a hint: competitive dancing! Yep, you guessed it - my competitions are in April and May.
This year my dance studio is doing 4 competitions! I do not know the names of the competitions, but I am just as excited. Absolute Dance usually competes in 3 competitions but, this year they had a vote and the majority of the kids said they wanted to do 4. I voted to do 4, my friends did too, but... my friends and I kind of forgot that we are not in the Novice (easy) competition any more!😟😧😟
Just in case you don't know the levels of dance competitions, they are -
Tap Solo= Think

I have 6 dances to perform, including a solo! 2 tap, 1 hip hop, 1 ballet, 1 jazz and 1 musical theatre. I know most of the names of my dances but the ones that I do not I will just say what they are about.
Tap= Happy Feet themed
Hip Hop= Paw Patrol themed
Ballet= Synchronized Swimming themed
Jazz= Who Let The Frogs Out
Musical Theatre= Kung Fu Panda themed
I am so excited for my competitions and my team and I are doing the daily grind of practicing the choreography . I can't wait to see how it goes, I'll tell you all about it in the spring and see you next week!

Winter Carnival
This blog post is going to be about the Winter Carnival. This is an event that takes place at my before and after school care every year, either in January or Febuary. This is a fundraiser for the 9-12's Club. My out of school care is for kids from Grades K-6. The kids from Grades K-3 are called The Chinchillas, and those of us in Grades 4-6 are part of the 9-12s Club. That is because the kids who are in Grades 4-6 are between the ages of 9 and 12!
This year the Winter Carnival is on January 26th. As the name suggests, the games need to be winter themed, such as snowflakes, snowmen and penguins. The carnival is put on by the 9-12s for The Chinchillas.
This is the way the event works...the younger children bring dimes and play games. Each game costs 1 dime and they can play as many times as they want but only if they go to the back of the line. When they get back to the front of the line and it's their turn, they need to pay 1 dime again to play. A person can also go to other games and then come back. Each time they play, they get tickets (maximum of 8 tickets per game). At the end of the carnival, The Chinchillas can redeem the tickets for prizes.
Each person in the 9-12s Club does not have to come up with a game but he or she is encouraged to do so. This is because if they do not make up a game, they cannot have a say in what the collected money is used for. I know...it seems harsh...but fair!
I haven't completely decided yet what my is going to be but it will involve a penguin, fish, buckets and throwing!
I am so incredibly excited about the Winter Carnival. I remember when I was a Chinchilla and played at the Winter Carnival. It was so much fun; my favorite part was the bouncy castle! (gaaaaaaaaassssssssp) I didn't tell you about the bouncy castle! The leader for the 9-12s Club orders a bouncy castle but sets it up himself. I also loved playing the games. The game that I was best at was finding the snowflake hidden under cups. Over the years when I was a Chinchilla, I used my tickets to get yo-yos, candies and a whoopee cushion!
I really hope The Chinchillas like my game!

The Minecraft Youtuber...Stampy Cat!!!
Sssssss boom!!! That is the sound that a creeper makes in Minecraft. You might guessed what this blog is going to be about. MINECRAFT!!!!!!
I talked a little bit of what Minecraft is in my last blog. Today I am going to talk about a Youtuber named Stampy Cat. Stampy also plays Minecraft.
Stampy is a master builder! He makes a lot of shops and games. To make people like his videos he makes a lot of baaaaaad puns to make us laugh. (I said baaaaa like a sheep from Minecraft) Some people who are really big fans send him pictures of him that they drew and he adds them to his love garden. His love garden is where he gives somebody a shoutout and puts their name on a sign.
He also has a lot of Minecraft helpers to help him build mini games. I will get to the mini games soon. The helpers names are L for LEEEEE, Amy Lee 33, iballisticsquid, Polly Reindeer, William Beaver, Fizzy Elephant and much more. The helpers are very smart and funny. Once Fizzy was throwing cookies to find Hit the Target and Veverdash who were invisible! Hit the Target and Veverdash will come up very soon.
Now the mini games. Stampy and his helpers build and play a lot! My favorite mini game is the Raindrops ride. You get into a boat and you ride up a big pillar and when you reach the top you ride from one cloud to another like a little raindrop. When you go off the last cloud you go down a rainbow and land in a pot of gold. This is what I look like in Minecraft.
On to Hit the Target. Hit the Target is a evil player and wants to STEAL Stampy's dogs. Veverdash pretended to be Stampy's friend but she was actually helping Hit the Target! Once Hit the Target and Veverdash built a robot to act like Polly but the rules that they programed did not make sense!
Every chance that I get I try to get into Stampy's Love Garden! He tells us to think of something original, but I can't think of anything!

WHAT'S IN MY STOCKING?????????
(I only got two things)
1. I got a Minecraft game play on the PC
2. I got sugar cookie mix inside of a jar decorated as a snowman
Just in case you don't know what Minecraft is, it is a game where you mine for gold, diamonds, coal, redstone, lapis and more, with which you craft items. Hence the name Minecraft. 😄😄😄 There are two ways to play Minecraft! You can play it in Creative mode where you cannot die and you can search for itams. You can also play Survival mode where you can die and have Monsters or Moobs chasing you. moobs is another name for Monsters.
Minecraft on the PC is really easy to play, to move forward all you need to do is press W, if you want to move backward just press S. See, even a kid can play it (and she does 🤣🤣🤣🤣).
I am going to tell you more about Minecraft in a future post!!! I will also talk about my Minecraft hero Stampylongnose 😺😺😺.

Now I think it's time that I tell you about the present that Santa got me!! I only got one present but I think it is awesome !!!!!!!!!!!!!
MY PRESENT FROM SANTA🎁
A SKATEBOARD!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was so happy when I saw the skateboard. I literally slammed my head on the floor (not really slam) and then I picked up the skateboard and I said "YAY".
My skateboard has different coloured wheels! Red, Blue, Yellow and green. The actual board is Black, my favorite colour. My skateboard is a shortboard, it also has a kicktail. A kicktail has a few purposes, one is that if you put your weight on it, it will stop. Another purpose is you can use it to do tricks. You can do tricks by leaning a little bit back on the kicktail and keep going!! Pretty cool, right?
In the summer I am planing to start riding my skateboard! My sister has ridden one before so I am thinking she can help me. I am planing to go to the park and just ride in the basketball court. I am really excited to ride my skateboard!!!!! I wonder if any of my friends have skateboards. If they do maybe we can ride together!👧👧
I really wanted a Nintendo Switch, but I did not get it probably because it was too hard for Santa's elves to make.😓

Santa Claus is Coming To Town
I LOVE Christmas! Some of the things that I like about Christmas is being able to sleep in (I'm sure a lot of people can agree). I also like waking up on Christmas morning and seeing all of the presents. I know that Christmas is not about the presents, I just get really excited!😆😆😆 Christmas is all about spending time with your family and friends.
One more thing that I like about Christmas is the magic of SANTA CLAUS!!!!
Santa is awesome!! One Christmas Eve I could swear that I heard Santa's sleigh bells.🔔🔔🔔
I love Christmas carols. My favorite one is Six White Boomers. Which Christmas carol is your favorite? Tell me in the comments, if you do not celebrate Christmas tell me your favorite part of the winter break.
My family is really in the Christmas spirit. We put up lights, decorations and we also put up two Christmas trees! One is downstairs in out dining room and one upstairs in our bonus room. Both of them have a lot of ornaments. We even put tiny presents on our reading area plate!

My family is really in the Christmas spirit. We put up lights, decorations and we also put up two Christmas trees! One is downstairs in out dining room and one upstairs in our bonus room. Both of them have a lot of ornaments. We even put tiny presents on our reading area plate!

I am In Grade 4 and Now Grade 2!!
WHAT!! How can you be in grade 4 and 2? Let me tell you how.
I am in grade 4 at school and I also had my ballet grade 2 exam on December 6th. The exam was very exciting, but nerve racking at the same time. We had to perform exercises to get marks. We had to get a 50 or higher to pass. I don't know if I passed yet, but I will know in February and that is making me nervous. (WHAT IF I DIDN'T PASS!) I do think that I did pass because I did really well on all of the exercises.💃
We also had to do two dances. The names of the Dances were Dance A and Dance C. Dance A was about a person who had never seen snow before. (bet they don't live in Calgary 😆😆😆) Dance C is about a person who wants to plant a garden.
We had coloured bows in our hair and a number on our bodysuits. I was number 1 and I had a pink bow in my hair. The examiner's name was Mrs. Lackner. Our piano accompanist was Ms. Carla. Something funny that happened was that Ms. Carla's music binder fell off the piano while my friend was dancing!!!!😆
I can't wait to.......start grade 2 ballet. Classes start tomorrow! Most of my friends took the exam and are starting grade 2 with me. I won't see my other friends in class but we will meet in other classes. I am really looking forward to seeing the results of my exam. I hope I did well!
P.S There's only 2 weeks and one day until Christmas! Today the chocolate in my advent calendar was a tiny Santa which was inside the belly of a snowman picture. BYE!!!!!!!!

I was in my Herald coutume for scenes 2,18 and 19.🐚 Under The Sea was the most tiring scene because we had to sing as well as dance. In scene 19 I had to pretend that King Triton was hurt, it was very hard because I could see him right there and he was okay. I am going to tell you what different animals I was during the show.

I was the only one in a Seahorse costume because I was a character. My sister was also in the show. She was part of the singing group.
My dad came to watch. He was right in the front row. During the show I could not see him.👀 My mom was backstage, helping the grades 1-3s and the 4-6 year olds. There were 2 shows, one from 2;00pm to 3:15pm and the second from 4:00pm to 5:15pm. Both shows were an hour and 15 minutes long.

A Time To Remember
I really don't like wars but if WWI and WWII did not happen we might have not had our freedom. At school we are learning about the world wars. We read a book about a ten year old and how her dad went to war, but died. When our teacher was reading the last page I started to cry.
WWI started in 1914 and ended in 1918. WWII started in 1939 and ended in 1945.🎕 I am so thankful that I was not alive during the world wars because if I had been, I would have been scared seeing all of the death and destruction.
My favorite Remembrance Day poem is In Flanders Fields. I have memorized the whole poem.

At dance when the clock said 11:11 we had a moment of silence. We have this moment of silence so we can thank the fallen soldiers that fought in battle. Also because the war ended on 11/11/1918 and the time was 11:11.

I Did It!!! (The Cat Edition)
I am so excited to tell you about my adventure at the Cat Cafe.🐱 I was at the Cat Cafe for my friend's 10th birthday party. Half of the cafe is a normal cafe and half of it is a room full of cats. The Cat Cafe is a place where you can play with cats and adopt them.
I was afraid of cats because I was scared that they were going to scratch and bite me, but now I know that they are completely harmless. All of the cats are super cute and I loved them so much. I spent a whole 45 minutes with them! I petted 5 cats! But I still get a tiny bit startled if the cats jump down from a high place.
There are a lot of rules that you have to go over before you can play with the cats.
The Cat Cafe has a lot of rules, but I can only remember 4. I was really impressed with myself for going in there with the cats. After the 45 minutes were over we went for a walk around Kensington. We stopped at a restaurant and had Bubble Tea and fries. I had my Bubble Tea with no pearls. We had a choice of strawberry Bubble Tea or mango Bubble Tea. I chose mango Bubble Tea. It had something that tasted like the gummies in Aloe juice. In case you don't know what Aloe juice is, it is just like juice and has a citrus taste and it helps prevent tummy problems. I love Aloe so much.💖
Anyway after we had our food we went to the Gummy Boutique 🍬 I got some Blue Raspberry popping candy for my sister and Grape popping candy for myself.👭 After everyone got their candy we walked to the blue sports building where we had met and waited for out parents to come get us.👪

Read if You Dare!
Hey, this weeks blog is going to be about Halloween!🦇 Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. I will be talking about a few things in this blog post. The things I am going to talk about are the Halloween parade, the Halloween dance, dress up week, pumpkin carving, putting up decorations and Trick or Treating.
The first thing I will be talking about is the Halloween parade. The parade was held at school. The first half of the day was a normal school morning. After lunch we changed into our Halloween costumes. I was dressed up as Katniss Everdeen from the book series The Hunger Games. Most of the students were dressed up. How the parade works is that the "K's" (Kindergarten) would walk through the classrooms and the other classes would follow them. Ex. The "K's" walk through room 1,room 1 would follow the "K's" to room 2 etc. Anyway when we were walking through the learning commons we got 1 packet of rocket candy.
When we got back from the parade we watched a mystery movie that also fit with the Halloween theme. The movie was Scooby-Doo and the Case of the Vampire!!!!!!!! While we were watching the movie, we filled out a Mystery Map Sheet in which you write the characters' names. One other thing, the people that did not get their schoolwork done had to do their work and couldn't watch the movie until they were finished.
Now I am going to tell you about the Halloween dance! It was absolutely spooktacular🤣🤣 The dance was a part of the after-school care. We had a little snack and then started dancing.,There was a DJ and the DJ had a sheet of paper. You wrote your name and the song you would like the DJ to play and then the DJ would play it. We also got candy! But we only got it if we were dancing. I was dancing so I got to pick one candy. When I got tired I played "Guess Who" with my friend. The candy I picked was a candy called SweeTarts. (the two words "share" the "T") The candy was really good. The dance was fun to attend and I look forward to it next year.
The next thing I am going to tell you about is the dress up week at my dance studio. Dress up week is really simple- you just come to dance in a costume and dance in it. The first day I was dressed as a pair of PJ's. This costume is really easy to make. All you do is get a pair of comfortable pajamas and wear them. On the second day I was the Spirit of Teamwork. I found this really easy to find, all I did was buy a sweatshirt and wore it with black leggings. The sweatshirt had this printed on it.

The coolest part about my Halloween was pumpkin carving!!!! This year was the first year I carved a pumpkin! I did a basic smiley face and my dad did all of the hard complicated faces. I think all of them turned out cute. The hardest part of pumpkin carving is clearing out the inside of the pumpkin🥄 After we had finished carving all of the pumpkins we put them outside, put a candle in them and went back inside to get decorations.
You probably guessed what I am talking about now....the decor. All we did was thread lights through the railings and stuck signs and pumpkin lanterns in the ground. We also hung up a pumpkin ghost on the top part of our porch.
The last thing I did was go Trick Or Treating! I went to a lot of houses and got a whole pillow case of candy!🖵 when I got home I watched some Netflix and went to bed. I hope you guys had an amazing Halloween and if you don't celebrate it then I hope you had an amazing day doing what you were doing.

Gamer Dudes and Dudettes
Hey! Do you like playing video games? If so, read on! In this weeks blog I will be talking about the game I play at my after-school care. At the after-school care we have a lot of games on the X-box but only one on the computers and that game is...Minecraft !!!!!!!!!!!
On the computers we have two worlds for Minecraft. A world for 5-8 year-olds and a world for 9-12 year-olds. In the 9-12 world there are two places you can build a home. One is Cupcakelandia and the other one is Tree Top Village. I am building my house in Tree Top Village. Now I am going to tell you more about the two places.
Cupcakelandia
In Cupcakelandia you get a lot. you can write your name on the lot sign so that people know it is yours and can not touch or go in it without your permission. In the town center there will be a...UNICORN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!🦄 You can get wool by going to the sheep farm and shearing them. You can also dye the white sheep in all of the colours of the rainbow. All of the houses have to be cupcakes!! The rules are that you can not go to the Tree Top Village, you can NOT kill the sheep and you can not break a player's house.
That is Cupcakelandia and now to Tree Top Village.
Tree Top Village
In Tree Top Village it is a little bit different from Cupcakelandia. You get a lot, put your name on it and other players can not go in. If you need supplies like an axe to cut down trees for wood you can go to the big tree in the town center. The same rules as Cupcakelandia except the other way around -you can not go to Cupcakelandia and all the houses need to be trees and and you can not break a players house.

Freedom, Freedom, Freedom
On the 16th of October, I had my very first tap solo class! I am doing my solo to a song in which the work "freedom" is repeated, so that became the title of my blog this week. My solo class was from 11am -12pm. The only problem was that my mom had a meeting at 8:00am. She could not drop me to my dance studio because she could not leave the meeting at all so she came up with a mom-promise 😅(a mom-promise is a compromise made by a mom...ha!) She spoke with my friend's mom and dropped me off at their house...AT 7:30 IN THE MORNING!
When we got there, the whole family except the dad was waiting at the door! When I went into their house I played with all of the kids. My friend is in Grade 5, her brother is in Grade 2, and the other brother is in preschool. When it was time for the little one to go to preschool he cried. 😞 His mom got him to go by making us do "homework" 📖🖉⌦ He finally left because he did not want to do any homework at all!
For a while, my friend and her brother played on their Ipads and I played on my Nintendo 3DS.🎮My friend and I then went to her room but her brother was not allowed to come in. While we were in there we talked about dance and then went downstairs to practice our group competitive dances.💃When her mom got home we got our dance stuff and went to the car. My friend's brother took like 10 minutes to get ready!🕘
When we got to the dance studio we got our tap shoes on and waited until our teacher came.
I learned my tap solo and it is really fast! My next class is in November so I will have A LOT of time to practice.🕒

L-L-O-Y-D...I Named You
Hi!!!!!!! In this blog I will be telling you about some of the things that I liked about the Lego Ninjago Movie and some things that I didn't like. Before I get on with it I want to say that there is a short list of what I did not like about the movie and they are all about little things so that's that.👍 Anyway, these are the things that I liked about the movie.

Things that I didn't like👎
1. In a flashback scene, Koko and Garmadon said they met at a bar, BUT THEY DID NOT MEET IN A BAR!!! They met while they were training.
2. The movie makers made Lloyd's mom's name koko...it is actually, Misako!!!!!
3. Garmadon is still evil...... NOT!!!! He turned good at the end of season 2 and the movie showed information that happened in later seasons.
4. They made Zane look weird. There can be a lot of things changed for a movie but you cannot make Zane look weird!!!!
This was my short review of the movie. The next movie that I want to watch is Coco. I am sure it will be great. Bye for now!!!!!👋

Daddy's Home!!!!!!!!!!!
I have really exciting news!!! My dad has come back home and he arrived last week. My dad has been in Toronto for work for all of last year and I have not seen him for ONE WHOLE YEAR!!!!!! I screamed my head off when I found out that he was coming back.😲 He came back just in time for Thanksgiving!
Thanksgiving in Canada is celebrated in October but it is celebrated in November in the United States. I like Thanksgiving for many reasons...I am thankful about things, we get to eat turkey, and once Thanksgiving is over, we can put up Halloween decorations.
This year, I am thankful that there is enough water for everyone in Canada. There are many countries in the world where people have to walk for so long to get water from wells and rivers. Then they have to boil the water and get rid of all the germs before they can drink it. I am also thankful that I live in my own house and that there are people like police officers to keep my city safe.
Now about the food!!! For Thanksgiving dinner there was turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, roast potatoes and onions, bread rolls, and ground meat. A whole turkey is too much for us to finish, so instead we got two thighs for my parents and two drumsticks for me and my sister. The pieces were huge and I couldn't even finish my piece. I love mashed potatoes and gravy so I had two helpings. For dessert, I had a banana with chocolate syrup because I don't like cheesecake 🍲😏.
I am so happy that my whole family was together for Thanksgiving! Happy Canadian Thanksgiving to all of you!!!

View Dance Convention
Yesterday was so exciting. I went to my very first dance convention. It all started with me having to wake up super early on the weekend.😫I know..so sad, but it was okay because I was going to have classes with some amazing dancers. One of my best friends came in the car with me and we were both so excited! When we got there we stood in a long line for registration. My friend and I measured how far away from the table we were...we were 48 steps away. At the table we each got a wrist band that we HAD to keep on all day and a number that we had to pin to our bodysuits. My number was 579. There were a lot of girls from my dance studio (Absolute Dance), but there were also many other studios there. We were divided into three groups according to our ages and then the classes began!

6. Tap
The first class was Jazz and we did street funk style. We did a combo to the song "All I Do Is Win"...dancing the combo was a lot of fun. The second class we had was floor work. We did lots of rolls, across the floor movements, and arm and core strengthening exercises. The third class we had was ballet. I learned how to do some hard poses, stances, positions, and techniques. Then we had our lunch break. After lunch we had a contemporary class. We learnt that having correct technique is very important. The next class was hip hop. It was soooooo much fun. We learnt an old school hip hop combo. The last class was tap and we all danced much faster than I do at my studio. In the list above, I put ballet in red because all dance forms come from ballet, and I put tap in purple because this year I have a tap solo for my competitions.
I WAS AT THE CONVENTION FOR THE WHOLE DAY AND I HAD SO MUCH FUN!!!!! I HOPE THAT I AM INVITED TO ATTEND AGAIN NEXT YEAR!!!!

The Winners Of Family Bingo
Four days ago my school had a Welcome Back BBQ. It was so much fun. Apart from all the burgers, hotdogs, and other yummy food and desserts, there were some games that we could play. I hung out with my friend and we played two games.
Game one: In game one we had to guess the number of jelly beans in the jar. After we did that we had to guess how many jelly beans were green. This is because my school is a 'green' school. This means that we take care of the environment and we have also as a school adopted a park that is nearby. I guessed there were 100 jelly beans and 20 of them were green. I was way off! The next day I found out that there must have been about 300 of them!
Game two: This game was a type of bingo game that you had to play on your own. There was a sheet made up like a bingo grid with questions written on then and you needed to go around the school and ask the different families the questions. When you got a correct answer, you had to write their surname. For example: The question is 'Do you have a dog?'. You choose a family and ask them that. If they have a dog, you write that family's surname. If they don't have a dog, you ask another family until you find one that has a dog. This game was supposed to get people to talk to each other and get to know each other. The next day I found out that there were two winners for the bingo game and it was me and my friend because we were the only ones who played 😆. Everyone must have been too busy eating! I was very glad to get a gift card to Dairy Queen.
Usually for the bbq a man dressed up as Elvis comes to sing, but this year there was no Elvis. Instead, our new music teacher played with his friend. They are both part of a band...how cool is that...my music teacher plays and sings in a band!!!!!!! I didn't know any of the songs that he was singing but it sounded good.
My mom was helping organize the bbq and I helped her clean up along with some other people. We got to take the leftovers home! The bbq was a lot of fun and there are going to be more events in the school year.
Game one: In game one we had to guess the number of jelly beans in the jar. After we did that we had to guess how many jelly beans were green. This is because my school is a 'green' school. This means that we take care of the environment and we have also as a school adopted a park that is nearby. I guessed there were 100 jelly beans and 20 of them were green. I was way off! The next day I found out that there must have been about 300 of them!
Game two: This game was a type of bingo game that you had to play on your own. There was a sheet made up like a bingo grid with questions written on then and you needed to go around the school and ask the different families the questions. When you got a correct answer, you had to write their surname. For example: The question is 'Do you have a dog?'. You choose a family and ask them that. If they have a dog, you write that family's surname. If they don't have a dog, you ask another family until you find one that has a dog. This game was supposed to get people to talk to each other and get to know each other. The next day I found out that there were two winners for the bingo game and it was me and my friend because we were the only ones who played 😆. Everyone must have been too busy eating! I was very glad to get a gift card to Dairy Queen.
Usually for the bbq a man dressed up as Elvis comes to sing, but this year there was no Elvis. Instead, our new music teacher played with his friend. They are both part of a band...how cool is that...my music teacher plays and sings in a band!!!!!!! I didn't know any of the songs that he was singing but it sounded good.
My mom was helping organize the bbq and I helped her clean up along with some other people. We got to take the leftovers home! The bbq was a lot of fun and there are going to be more events in the school year.
